Discovering how dark matter interacts with the rest of the universe could reveal properties and rules that physicists don't yet know about. The standard model had existed for nearly half a century before the discovery of the LHC; it was obvious that the model relied on a solution to the mass problem; and theorists had been making significant advances for years. Their discovery strongly supports the Standard Model of particle physics, which is believed to govern the basic components of matter. If the calculation is incorrect, it must come from a fundamental part of physics that scientists have not yet discovered.

What would happen if the god particle exploded?
Keisha Tytler2 minutes 6, seconds readIf the universe is infinitely large, the particle could be almost infinitely far away. Humans would be extinct a long time ago before we even knew it had happened.
What are the 12 particles of matter?
Keisha Tytler1 minute 56, seconds readThe particles that are currently considered elementary include electrons, the fundamental fermions (quarks, leptons, antiquarks and antileptons), which generally are elementary. Particles of matter come in two main varieties, leptons and quarks.
Is dark matter the god particle?
Keisha Tytler1 minute 43, seconds readTogether, dark matter and dark energy represent 95 percent of the universe (ordinary matter like you and me and the galaxies that surround us make up the rest). In the face of the new collisions, we hope to find dark matter, the invisible substance that forms the universe, understand the concept of the multiverse and explore additional dimensions, Professor Mohanty said.
Does the god particle exist?
Keisha Tytler1 minute 18, seconds readThis particle helps give mass to all elementary particles that have mass, such as electrons and protons. Particles, such as protons, made up of quarks obtain most of their mass from the bonding energy that holds their components together.
